Guides
Questions founders ask
What is the best country to start a business?
It depends on where you live and who you sell to. For a remote online business, Estonia (online in a day via e-Residency), a US LLC in Wyoming or Delaware, and a UAE free-zone company are the most popular. Georgia and the UK are the cheapest. Singapore and Ireland carry the most weight with banks and investors.
Which countries have no taxes?
The UAE, Monaco, the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait charge no personal income tax. Several of them also charge 0% corporate tax for small companies. See the full tax haven list for details.
Can I start a company in another country without moving there?
Yes. Estonia, the US, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and some UAE free zones let foreigners incorporate remotely. But where you live still decides your personal taxes, and a company managed from your home country is usually taxed there too.
Is using a tax haven legal?
Yes, if you actually move yourself or your business there and report everything. Hiding income offshore is illegal, and since 2017 over 100 countries share bank account data automatically, so secrecy is mostly gone.
